The famous Clown Band of Eveleth ('Rally at Hoagie's)

The Eveleth Heritage Committeee is shown here in one of their monthly meetings. The group meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 12:00 noon, often at the Super 8 Motel on Highway 53, and sometimes at specially announced locations.

Contact the Co-chairs, Mr. Chuck Morello and Ms. Esther Salmi, through the link above for their current meeting information.

Pictured here (L to R) is Lois Ferguson, Loretta Nemanick, Marilyn Grierson, Alice Nettell, Chuck Morello, Rick Phillips and Esther Salmi.

The group is especially known for it's Scholarship program and monies are raised through the sales of local memorabilia. Special events are held throughout the year for additional support. The Homes Tour (scheduled in mid-December) and other events held in cooperation with the Fourth of July Committee, are also times when the group is prominent.

Eveleth Auditorium Project - (see the Arts Calendar for additional information)

The Auditorium Project began on March 19, 2008; with a tour of the facility by the Mayor and a handfull of community volunteers. Since the building was in as good of shape as you could ask for (having been unused for public assembly for decades), enthusiasm was seeded on that date for a hopeful opening and utilization of the facility.

This project has taken many turns, and some of the progress can be viewed on the Auditorium site. Since this is a community venture, any and all volunteer participation is valued and deeply appreciated. If you would like to help, let us know your interest level or contribution capacity using the 'Contact Us' link.
Thank you for your support of this project!
